TechCrunch published an article on 2 August 2022 about hackers stealing access to Wiseasy’s terminal management platform.
Wiseasy conducted a thorough investigation two weeks ago and concluded that this relates to an old version of its WiseCloud platform which has already been decommissioned and no longer in use. As the users and devices on this old platform have all been migrated to the current version several months even before the TechCrunch article, no clients are impacted. Cloud service security and data privacy have always been our top priority. The latest version of WiseCloud has passed the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) certification in November 2021. PCI certification is considered the best way to safeguard sensitive data and information and Wiseasy will continuously provide secured services to WiseCloud users.
