The existing roadside parking metering solutions are not smart enough
China’s automobile ownership reached 194 million by the end of 2016, up 113% over 2010. According to the State Information Center, this figure will reach 250 million by 2020. The auto production in 2016 was 28,190,000, an increase of 14% over the previous year and much higher than the growth rate of 5% in 2015.
According to the National Development and Reform Commission, in 2016, about 12,000 parking lots with about 5.4 million parking spots (including two million public spots) were put into operation across the country.
In 2016, the sales of passenger cars grew rapidly to 24,380,000 vehicles. Hence, the ratio between new spots and new cars is 1:4.5.
In other words, a shortage of 50 milling parking spots will even get worse, and the “hard to park” problem will linger.
To improve their efficiency and user experience, large parking lots are getting smarter and more automated with such features as reverse locating, prepayment, ETC and WeChat Pay/Alipay.

Smart order management
When a car enters a spot, Wang MI will prompt the operator to scan the number plate or manually input the number to start metering,
After the car leaves the spot, Wang MI will prompt the operator to scan the number plate again to produce an order and complete the payment in a closed loop.
During prepayment or fee collection, the user may choose from a variety of payment methods such as cash, QR code (Alipay, WeChat Pay, UnionPay or QR code of a specified bank), magnetic stripe card, chip card, NFC (e.g. Apple Pay, cloud flash pay) and acoustic payment, which can be processed in a fast and easy way.
High rate of identification
The fill light feature can enable it to identify the number plate in insufficient light (a flash lamp may be too strong, and make the plate reflect light spots, thus lowering the rate of identification).
Adaptable to extreme environments
Wang MI is protected from fall, splash, explosion, drop and dust, and can work in hot and humid environment.
